Democrats preach unity at Clarion Spring Dinner

On April 29th, the Clarion County Democratic Committee hosted their annual Spring Dinner. The dinner is usually an opportunity for local Democrats to socialize and talk politics and this evening was no exception.

ck7 year old Will White kicked off the evening's program by leading the group in the Pledge of Allegiance, after which, State Committeewoman and Clarion County Chair Stephanie White who directed the program, encouraged the attendees to get more involved by delivering a call to action.

Clarion Area School Board member Braxton White delivered remarks on behalf of LT Governor John Fetterman while Butler County Commissioner Kevin Boozel spoke on behalf of Conor Lamb, both of whom are candidates for US Senate to replace Republican Pat Toomey. The surrogates spent their time discussing why they felt their candidate was the best choice, but more importantly, stressed unity after the primary because we need all hands on deck if Democrats are going to win in November.

Clarion College Democrats President Kayla Eaton filled in the group on their activities from the last school year, including the successful return of their annual Shropshire Award Banquet and announced their executive board for the 2022-23 school year.

McKean County State Committeeman Jim Heckman discussed his vision for the region and our fight for truth as he and Stephanie White run for Chair and Vice Chair of the Northwest Caucus for the PA Democratic Party.

Mike Molesevich, small business owner from Lewisburg, spoke about how Glenn Thompson continues to let our region down and how he is looking to change that with his write-in bid for the 15th congressional district.

Finally, PA Dems Senior Advisor Mitch Kates delivered a rousing speech about the many accomplishments of President Biden, the big wins for local Democrats in rural PA and Clarion County, and the strength at the top of our ticket with Gubernatorial Candidate Josh Shapiro and his running mate Austin Davis.

With that, another successful Clarion County Democratic Spring Dinner was in the books. The primary election takes place on May 17th.
